SD All-State Chorus

Congratulations to the students representing Brandon Valley at the South Dakota All-State Chorus

The 61st South Dakota All-State Chorus & Orchestra will be held October 31 and November 1 at the Sioux Falls Arena. Approximately 1100 singers and instrumentalists will join in rehearsal and concert over the two days.

Brandon Valley High School will be represented in the chorus with four quartets of singers: sopranos Lydia Eichelberg (12), Alli Fatone (12), Lexi Hokenstad (10), Stephanie Podhradsky (12); altos Alex Hillestad (12), Kirsten Polasky (11), Summer Rogers (12), Katie Wright (11); tenors Isaiah Dietz (11), Riley Duncanson (12), Johnny Hoffmann (10), Kevin Huizenga (12); and basses Robert Berndt (12), Mason Blue (10), Brad Gingles (11), Eli Suchowacky (12).

Alex 
Hillestad, Robert Berndt, and Kevin Huizenga are All-Staters for the third year. This is the second year at All-State for Hokenstad, Rogers, Wright, and Gingles. The sixteen singers are members of the BVHS Concert Choir, directed by Terry Gullickson.

This year’s guest conductor for the All-State Chorus is Dr. Andre J. Thomas, director of choral activities at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida.

The Grand Finale Concert of the 61st All-State Chorus & Orchestra will be broadcast live from the Sioux Falls Arena on South Dakota Public Television, November 1, 7:00 pm.
