BVHS Art Students win Augustana College Art Show

CONGRATULATIONS:  The Augustana College Art Department invited over ten area schools to participate in their annual high school art show.   Each school was only allowed to submit three entries per instructor.  BVHS Art students took the top three prizes.   Alexa Kruse won second place, Alana Callahan won first place, and Breanne Kline won the grand prize an $8000 scholarship to Augustana College. Kudos to their instructor and mentor Chad Nelson.

Help wanted - be an Usher and watch the shows

Thanks for all of you that attended the meeting and happily agreed to help with various upcoming events. We need some more ushers for the State One-Act Play festival on February 6-8. It's and easy task, you have to be by the doors of the PAC before and after the show. Half of the usher's can watch the performances, so if you take turns you can catch some great shows! Fine Arts Booster Meeting January 14th, 2014

Our next Fine Arts Booster Meeting is on Tuesday, January 14th at 5.30 pm at the community room at the High School. Here are some of our topics:

• We are going to start planning for the upcoming High school musical Willy Wonka. We will need help with selling ads for the Playbill. 
• We are in the process of redesigning our website to be up to date and informative. We need help in filling some of the pages with "life". 
• Brandon Valley High School is hosting the State On-Act-Play Festival on February 6th to 8th. Parents are needed to be ushers and help with providing food and snacks for the judges. 

You don't need to be a member to join our meeting. If you can't make it but would like to help with any of our tasks, please contact us at BVFineArts@gmail.com
