 Fine Arts Boosters Scholarship Announcement

Spring 2022

 

The Brandon Valley Fine Arts Boosters are pleased to announce scholarships available for 2022 graduating seniors. The scholarships are made possible through the generous donations from Architecture Incorporated and Brandon Valley Fine Arts Boosters.

 

A minimum of six individuals will each be awarded a $500 scholarship. To be eligible you must:

 

1.    Be a current school year graduating senior.

2.    Plan to be a full time student in an accredited college or vocational technical school in the fall. (Do not need to pursue a degree in fine arts)

3.    Have contributed to the Fine Arts at Brandon Valley in at least one of the following areas:

·      Art

·      Choir

·      Oral Interpretation

·      Orchestra

·      Theater

 

Awards will be made on the basis of:

1.    Contribution to the Fine Arts at Brandon Valley High School

2.    Fine Arts Experience/contributions in the community (including support such as tech)

3.    Community service, non-fine arts school activities/involvement, and employment

4.    Applicant’s written case for being selected, and academic performance

It is homecoming week at BVHS! We are very proud of all our fine arts students. The opportunity to be involved in so many different activities is one of the things that makes Brandon Valley so special. Go Lynx!!!

“Lynx to the Arts”

For the fourth time, we will be publishing the "Lynx to the Arts" – a magazine style print that will be distributed at Fine Arts events during the school year to encompass all Fine Arts adventures at Brandon Valley High School!

Show your support and place a parent ad!

If you have a child in Orchestra, Chorus, Art, Oral Interp or Theatre, you are a Fine Arts Parent! We encourage you to place a parent ad in the Lynx to the Art to show your support for your student. Your student will love the gesture. Your ad helps us to offset the printing cost for the magazine, and also confirms your membership in the Fine Arts Booster Club.

What is the Lynx to the Arts?

Lynx to the Arts contains information about the Fine Arts activities during the school year:

-          Fine Arts Calendar: All important dates about the Fine Arts at BVHS

-          Information about the different areas of the fine arts

-          Senior spotlights for every senior in the different departments (picture and a short introduction) 

When will the Lynx to the Arts be published?

Once a year at the beginning of the school year, to be “debuted” at the fall play

Where will it be distributed?

At every Fine Arts event to the audience. Theatre productions, orchestra and choir concerts, variety show, art show(s), oral interp festivals if possible.

Who will pay for the Lynx to the Arts?

Businesses have the opportunity to place an advertisement in the Lynx to the Arts. In addition, parents can place an ad  to show their support for their student(s). Choose your favorite picture of your child, add some encouraging text and surprise your student that (s)he is featured in the Lynx to the Arts. Email bvfinearts@gmail.com for more information.

What is the deadline to place the parent ad?

Deadline to send your payment and advertisement is September 13th, 2021.

Advertise in the Lynx to the Arts

We are excited to introduce The “Lynx to the Arts”, a magazine style publication,  that showcases all areas of the Fine Arts at Brandon Valley High School.



The magazine will be distributed at ALL fine arts events at Brandon Valley High School and some events at the Brandon Valley Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year. This will allow us to have a publication that features students from: Chorus, Orchestra, Art, Oral Interp, and Theatre.



Lynx to the Arts will inform the audience about upcoming events, introduce the Fine Arts programs and showcase every Senior Student who is involved in the Fine Arts! For the Fall Play and for the Spring Musical, Lynx to the Arts will also double as a playbill.



We would like to offer you and your business an advertising opportunity. Advertising is available in different sizes, from full page to an eighth page (see attached form). Depending on the level of support, we have added a few perks for just for you like: a recognition certificate, show tickets and t-shirts!



Early Bird Special: If we receive your payment before July 9^th, you will get 10% off!



The Lynx to the Arts will go to print on September 14^th, 2019 and will be distributed at the first Choir concert of the year in October.
